Seoul Must Expand 'Economic Sphere': S Korean Official

TOKYO (Nikkei)--Kwak Seung-jun, chairman of the Presidential Council for Future and Vision of South Korea, said on Friday that the system LSI and content industries have been key to the country's track record of sustainable economic growth.

"Free trade agreements provide an effective way to widen our economic sphere," Kwak said at The Nikkei's annual Future of Asia conference, adding that South Korea's future will depend on economic expansion.
