Asia Growth 'Tectonic Shift' For Global Econ: JCER Chief

TOKYO (Nikkei)--Kazumasa Iwata, president of the Japan Center for Economic Research expressed hopes for Asia's future role in the world in a panel discussion at the annual Future of Asia conference on Thursday.

Iwata said Asia continues to grow faster than Europe and the U.S., which is "bringing about a historic, tectonic shift in the global economy."

Iwata participated in the panel discussion for business leaders and economists titled, "Challenges and solutions for the global economy: An Asian perspective."
