Malaysia Premier Urges Asia Solidarity After Quake

TOKYO (Nikkei)--Asia must unite to help Japan overcome the hardships created by the Great East Japan Earthquake, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said Thursday at a Tokyo forum.

Speaking at the Future of Asia conference, co-organized by The Nikkei and the Japan Center for Economic Research, Najib also said the March 11 disaster revealed the unbreakable spirit of the Japanese people, and that this attribute will play a major role in the country's reconstruction efforts.
