Turmoil In Thailand Will Hurt Economy: Laotian Premier

TOKYO (Nikkei)--Laotian Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh said Thursday it is inevitable that his country will be affected by political instability in Thailand, such as by causing a sharp fall in the number of tourists and disrupting trade, because landlocked Laos uses Thai ports for imports and exports.

At the 16th International Conference on the Future of Asia, hosted by The Nikkei through Friday, the premier said he hoped for an quick resolution of the turmoil in Thailand.
