Improved Distribution Key To Growth: Vietnam Transport Minister

TOKYO (Nikkei)--Vietnamese Minister of Transport Ho Nghia Dzung emphasized the importance of improving distribution services, such as truck transportation, in and around his country, during the annual Future of Asia conferenceheld here Friday.

Developing traffic and distribution infrastructure will contribute to the balanced growth of Vietnam's regional economies, said the minister. In explaining his country's geographical strategy, Ho said the government expects heavy industry to grow in the north, manufacturing in the central area and oil industries in the south.
