Thailand To Spend $45bn On Jobs: Deputy PM

TOKYO (Nikkei)--Korbsak Sabhavasu, deputy prime minister of Thailand, said in a speech at an economic forum here on Friday that his country will launch a job creation program in response to the downturn, spending the equivalent of 45 billion dollars over each of the next three years.

The program, which will focus on building irrigation systems and cargo transport infrastructure, will create 2 million jobs, according to Korbsak.
