Laos Seeks More Technological, Financial Aid: PM

TOKYO (Nikkei)--Lao Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh called on industrialized nations Thursday to provide his country with further technological and financial support.

In order to rise from the ranks of the least developing countries (LDC), "It is vital for Laos to make good use of its abundant natural resources," the prime minister said in a speech at an economic forum.

Titles of speakers, names of companies, etc., were correct as of the time when the forum was held.
